North Wales Society of Fine Arts
Although I was accepted at Art College in 1969 I was persuaded to enter the teaching profession where I remained for nearly 40 years. My first exhibitions were in Kent and continued when I moved to the Wirral.
I joined the Ness Botanical Group as one of the founder members in 1989 and in 1997 two of us from the group received an RHS Silver Gilt medal for paintings of plants collected by George Forrest and Francis Kingdon-Ward.
Over the past 15 years I have exhibited with the Deeside Art Group, Williamson Art Gallery, North Wales Group of Fine Artists, Irby and Heswall Art groups and have received prizes for my botanical, landscape and portrait paintings. Commissioned work has been requested and sold throughout the UK and abroad.
In recent years I have developed a more naturalistic style in pastel, concentrating on Wildlife. Last year I exhibited and sold work at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Artists.
Ymunais â’r Grŵp Ness Botanical fel un o’r aelodau gwreiddiol yn 1989, ac yn 1997 wnaeth ddau ohonom o’r grŵp derbyn medal Gilt Arian RHS am luniau o blanhigion a gasglwyd gan George Forrest a Francis Kingdon-Ward.
Dros y 15 mlynedd diwethaf rwyf wedi arddangos gyda’r Grŵp Arlunio Glannau Dyfrdwy, Oriel Gelf Williamson, North Wales Group of Fine Artists, grwpiau Celf Irby a Heswall ac wedi derbyn gwobrau ar gyfer fy bortreadau botanegol, y dirwedd a phaentiadau portread. Mae fy’n ngwaith gomisiwn wedi cael eu gwerthu ar draws y DU a thramor.
Yn ystod y blynyddoedd diwethaf rwyf wedi datblygu arddull fwy naturiolaidd yn pastel, gan ganolbwyntio ar fywyd gwyllt. Y llynedd, rwyf wedi arddangos a gwerthu gwaith yn yr National Exhibition of Wildlife Artists.
