* Born 1947, Cheshire , England . Freelance painter & illustrator since 1977 – fully professional since 1983 when he moved back to Wales full time.

*Philip's work appears in many publications, exhibitions & top galleries in London , Wales & several other countries. He has illustrated, or contributed work to, over 70 books, & many magazines, prints, cards, calendars, reserve guides & maps etc.

*Widely featured on the net, e.g. British Arts Council AXIS site, NewArtCollectors Websites, & BBC's WildlifeArtCompany site etc.

* Collected work includes Welsh National Collection, Welsh Assembly, RSPB, & many private & public collections, world-wide, incl. USAF, HRH Prince Charles, Bryn Terfel, Iolo Williams, Julian Pettifer, Nature in Art, H.H. Prince Al M Bin Saud, & Sheikh Suroor of Abu Dhabi etc.

*Latest books both written & illustrated include   “Tall Tales from an Estuary” , placing our Welsh estuary life & migrants in a global context ; “Light & Flight - A Hebridean Wildlife & Landscape Sketchbook”, recording 25 yrs work sketching [& already hailed as ‘a triumph'], & the controversial “The Design & Origin of Birds”, for DayOne Publications. He was the main illustrator for the last Collins“Birds by Behaviour” guide; & the “Birds of Anglesey” , and is currently writing & working on a Welsh Wildlife & Landscape Sketchbook .

* He welcomes all wildlife, farm & domestic animal & landscape commissions; & regularly writes & gives talks on Art/History, Creation, Evolution & the “New Age”, to all manner of religious, scientific & secular groups.
